"Play is really the work of childhood." I love that quote by Mister Rogers, and it's exactly what I thought of as I was taking these photos. The way I did my journaling in the half circle is a special template by Jessica Sprague. I picked it up here. (Also there's a free Scrap Girls kit available for download on that page.) In Photoshop elements - which is what I use - you can't make your text in a particular shape like that, so this is a template Jessica created using the full version of Photoshop. Instructions on how to use it also come with it. And the "play" sticker was made by me, using the cutout action from Atomic Cupcake (also a freebie.) Cool stuff.

DSM Layouts
I've been creating a lot with just Digital Scrapbook Memories products. This is the company that got me started with this obsession back in 2005. Angie introduced me to it - it's owned by her sister April. DSM has several CDs out with gorgeous kits and I absolutely love using their stuff. (And when I'm not scrapping with their stuff, I love spending time on the forum.) They just released a new "all boy" CD and I cannot wait to get to work with it!

Atlantic City
I've been getting a ton of pages done... the trick has been getting them posted, lol! Here's one I started months ago and just finished up tonight. It's my first attempt at a two page layout & I really like how it turned out. I'll definitely be attempting more of these, especially for those times when I want to use a bunch of photos.

Crazy for Fonts
I'm somewhat of a "font freak" - I love downloading new fonts! I have a huge collection, and every time I create a layout I love to pick out the font that goes best with the overall feel and emotion I'm trying to evoke through the page. Anyway, over at the designer digitals blog there was a link to this awesome site: kevin & amanda. All their fonts are handwritten - just what I love for journaling. I picked up several new ones that I'm giddy with excitement to try out! My faves include: Pea Missy, Pea Lacy, Pea Jenny, and Pea Breathe Easy, and Pea Reese. Also - if you want, they can turn your handwriting into a font! Just scroll down for details... watch out, you may just see "Pea Lynnette" soon!

Up and Running
And we're off! This little blog is dedicated to my current hobby/obsession with digital scrapbooking. Anything goes as long as it's in that vein. So you'll see my latest layouts, products and designers I'm loving, links, maybe even some cool Photoshop tips or techniques. I'm hoping to be able to keep this updated - and even interesting (bonus!). Enjoy!
