Two Months of Layouts

October is here and it's officially fall!  I love this time of year. :)  I'm really enjoying scrapping a lot these days. I rely mainly on my responsibilities as part of the team at My Scrapbook Art, the Digi Night Out events I organize, and the challenges at The Lilypad to stay on track with my memory keeping.

Here's a look at what I created in August and September.

I'm really enjoying creating and blogging for My Scrapbook Art.  I get the opportunity to work with lots of different designers' stuff, the chance to scrap using various different challenges, and even have some of them appear in the Home Is Where The Art Is magazine. This was created with August's free kit from the Home Is Where The Art Is magazine, and entered into that month's challenge.

Everyday Inspiration + June Layouts

It's been a while!  June was a whirlwind of events, that spilled over into July, and life is just barely starting to calm down a bit. (Good things though... life is very good. And maybe I'll get caught up on my Project Life soon?)

On the scrapping front things have changed a little bit for me.  First off, I'm so excited for the very first Digi Night Out tomorrow night!  I have been busy the past few months getting things ready and spreading the word. I still have a few more things to prepare, but I should be good to go by tomorrow.  I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of local scrappers and having a fun night out!  And if you live in Utah you should definitely check it out - even if you can't make it to this event, there will be lots more in the future.

With all of the extra time it's taken to launch Digi Night Out, I've been scrapping a bit less. I quit my teams - well, I quit Wendy & Dunia's teams, and Jenna retired :( - but I also applied to the team at My Scrapbook Art, and scored a spot.  So I am now blogging once a week at MSA's Everyday Inspiration blog, and scrapping a little bit as well. Today just happens to be a spotlight post about me, so if you haven't got enough of me here, you can check that out.  So far I've done just a couple of post about different scrapbooking trends, including hexagons, sewing stuff, and patriotic themed stuff.

So anyway, that's what's new around here!  Without further ado here's what I created in June:

May Layouts

Another fabulous month of scrapping and lots of layouts to prove it. It's kind of fun to look over the month and take note of my current scrapping style.  I've never really felt like I had a very definite "style"... I like to experiment with different things. This month I'm noticing a lot of ORANGE and YELLOW in my layouts.  I've also been using templates that have spots for blended photos. I'm really digging that look right now, but I'm not very good at blending on my own so I really love templates that allow me to do it really quick and easy.

Another thing I've noticed is that most of the photos from these layouts date from a year or more ago.  I've enjoyed looking back and scrapping some older memories.  I find that for some weird reason I don't like to scrap what we're doing right away... plus I'm doing Project Life this year so I feel like I've kind of got that covered there.  I'm enjoying going back through photos from past years and finding memories that I haven't scrapped yet.

Digi Night Out

I have something very fun and exciting to share!  For the past few months the wheels in my head have been turning.  Over the years I've had a lot of fun getting together with other digital scrapbookers at different events.  I love connecting with other people who share my passion for digital scrapbooking!  It's always so inspiring and a lot of fun.  But these events seem to be few and far between.  So I decided to create my own!  I give you... Digi Night Out!

Rather than go on and on about it here, I'll just send you to my new website.  It's nothing super fancy, but considering I had no clue what I was doing, I'm pretty proud of it!  You'll find everything you need to know... what it is, how to get tickets (the early bird price won't last long!), sign up for the newsletter (do it! a little bird told me you'll get special discounts and freebies!), and even contact me if you have further questions.  Also, I'd love it if you "liked" Digi Night Out on facebook, and please share with your Utah scrapping friends! Thanks. :)

xoxo,
