Project Life 2014: Weeks 37 & 38

Hi there, today I'm sharing weeks 37 & 38 and you know what that means?  I'm totally caught up! I wasn't sure I'd get there, but I found some extra mojo and cranked these two out earlier this week. It feels good be on top of it.

For week 37 I did something I almost never do... I clicked on my "journal card" folder in ACDSee (my organizing software) and just pulled cards to fill in the spaces without photos. I think everything I used is from a different source, so it's all very mix & match. I also wanted to try keeping it a bit more simple with minimal embellishments and I really like how it turned out.  Even though I didn't use a ton of stuff, the supply list is still probably the longest I've ever had, ha!

For week 38, I went the opposite route and used just one collection, including the template, for my spread. This was created with the October 2014 Storyteller Collection by Just Jaimee.  If you've been following my blog you know I LOVE the Storyteller collections for my PL pages, and this was no exception. I generally always use the same template, but every now and then I like to mix it up. Jaimee's templates are fun because they offer more of a guide like the cards that have frames and photo spots and element guides.

Project Life 2014: Weeks 35 & 36

Hi there! I've been "catching up" again... it seems I'm perpetually behind a few weeks but I'm still plugging along.  My process hasn't changed all that much but I have been trying out some different journaling fonts. For most of my pages this year I've been using Just Realize, but I'm sort of getting tired of that one so I tried a few others for these weeks. On week 35 I used Quirky & Messy, and for week 36 I used Becky Higgins' handwritten fonts, CK Becky and CK Jot.

I'm really favoring a faded look to my photos lately, and I use different filters in RadLab to achieve the different edits. I find that this also helps make the spreads look more cohesive. The kit I used for this week is the same one I used for week 12 - I love how versatile the Storyteller Collections are!

2014 Project Life Weeks 33 & 34

Today I'm sharing Week 33 & 34.  For week 33 I decided to play with some GORGEOUS stuff from Celeste Knight. I love her designs, especially the floral patterns.

For week 34 I used the amazing new collection from Digital Design Essentials, Memorandum. If you love office supplies, you'll love this collection! I keep things pretty uniform for my PL, but I did switch up my journaling font this week - I'm looking for something a bit more readable.  Can't decide if I like it yet though.
