March Layouts

Since April is almost over (!) I thought I should at least post my layouts from March. I love how this layout about my son's birthday party turned out; I used the same kit & alpha for it that I used for all the decorations.

{template from "Circles of Fun" by Crystal Livesay; alpha, orange button, & pumpkin from "Plentiful" by Shabby Princess; stitched circles from "Mod & Classy" by Down This Road Designs; check, stripe and brown papers from "Funky Fall" kit by Kelley Mickus and Amanda Heimann; green splatter from "In The Graveyard" by SuzyQ Scraps and DeCrow Designs; overlay from "Thank Ya Kindly" freebie by Jessica Sprague; Pea Jenny font}

I also got a couple more of my Philly layouts completed - it's been a while!

Play & Music

This layout is about the Gymboree Play & Music classes I used to take Zach to. One of the perks of working at the clothing store! I made it another two page layout because I had some really cute pictures of Zach playing that I've never scrapbooked.

Kids First

I'm doing this in really random order, as you might have noticed. I actually jotted down all the places I'd like to do layouts about a while ago (after I first had the idea) but I haven't gone back and looked at it yet. Rather I've just been combing my photo folders and picking out picture I see and scrapping it. This one is about the pediatricians office. :)

{background paper & circle string from "Spring Has Sprung" by Mickey B Designs; scallop frame from "Kindergarten Crafts" by Miss Mint; curled ribbon from "Walkin' on Sunshine" by Traci Reed; ribbon/flower cluster from MSA Collab kit "Wildflowers" by Emily Merritt; purple scallop ribbon from Sweet Shoppe Collab kit "So Memorable" by Cyndi Lyle; beads from Sweet Shoppe Collab kit "So Memorable" by Melissa Bennett; cardboard arrow from "April Morning" by Miss Mint; alpha by Gunhilde Storeide; staples from "Love Life" by Sahlin Studio; "Teletype" font}

These pages are just the beginning of what will be a large album. The concept for this has been in my head for well over a year and I am just now finally getting it out and it feels good! I have actually done and redone these pages several times, attempting to get a certain look and feel - which has been kind of annoying but what can I say, sometimes I'm too much of a perfectionist. This album is titled "Places in Philly" and it's dedicated to all of the wonderful places we visited while living there, both the mundane (aka grocery store & school) and exciting (NYC, the Jersey shore, etc.) It has been hard to get it going because I have so much to say and I really want the journaling to take center stage... and yet I have so many photos! And of course I want the layouts to have a great and cohesive design, so it's been tricky to find the balance. I'm posting them as I create them so I can keep track of all the products I use before I forget. I have no idea how long this will take, but I'm hopeful that since I've started I'll just keep going until it's done. Wish me luck!
