New Layouts + a FREEBIE

It's been too long since I shared traditional layouts. Here's what I've been scrapping since my last non- Project Life post...

I love the Real Life in Pockets series that Just Jaimee and Mommyish are creating each month. I ended up making two layouts with their most recent edition, Are We There Yet?.

This layout is part of a larger album, which is mostly finished but I haven't posted the pages online. I scrapped most of them last year and now I'm just trying to finish them all so I can print a photo book.

This page was made with Bright Side store collab kit - it's the free with purchase for June at Pixels and Company and I'm in love with it.

This layout was created nearly a month ago with the June Storyteller Collection by Just Jaimee.  Since I took my sweet time in posting here, I decided to make a free template for you based on this page!

As you can see I had a lot of fun playing with the shadows to make them look a little more custom than usual. I used this tutorial since I scrapbook in Photoshop Elements (I'm using version 10). Hope you like it!

Project Life 2014: Week 24 & July Storyteller is here!

For my week 24 spread I got to use the brand spankin' new July Storyteller Collection from Just Jaimee.  If you're not familiar with her monthly collections - they are HUGE! And awesome. And perfect for all your scrapping needs, but I especially love them for my Project Life spreads. The July edition just screams summer:

I deviated from my usual template and used the one Jamiee included in the collection. I really like the doodled borders around each pocket! You can also view my layout, along with TONS of other inspiration, in the FREE Storytelling online magazine. Enjoy!

Project Life 2014: Weeks 22 & 23

It's JUNE! We're almost halfway through the year, and this is getting harder. Life seems to get more complicated in the summer, kids home all day, less of a structured routine, and just more stuff going on in general.  I'm staying afloat, with Project Life at least... the current state of my house might be another story. ;)

Here's my week 22 spread:

Project Life 2014: Weeks 20 & 21

Hi there! I've got two weeks to share today, and *fingers crossed* I'll finish up week 22 sometime this week. I can't believe we're nearly half way through the year - and I'm keeping up! One thing that's making me super happy about this project right now is working with Digital Design Essentials products. This sounds like a shameless plug - but it's not. Yes, I'm on the creative team, but honestly it's not required to blog or promote products other than just posting in online galleries. I've found the collections to be tailor made for Project Life-style scrapping. I love the color combos, the variety, the unique elements and the word art. They really make putting together my spreads quick and fun.  It's making me WANT to scrap and keep this going.

For week 20, I mostly used the Playful freebie, along with some free motherhood cards from Scrapaneers.

Here's a look at each side:

For week 21 I used the XOXO collection - I love how even though this collection is themed (Valentine's Day) it is still versatile and generic enough to use for a weekly spread in May.

You + Me and a FREEBIE

I'm hosting the 3-Way Challenge over at Pixels and Company this week, which means I have a layout to share. I also created a freebie to go along with it- but first, the sample layout I created for the challenge.  Just sweet moment of my daughter and I.
