Hey there! It's been too long... both since I posted here, and since I offered a free template. I'm here remedy both of those things!
I've based this template off my most recent layout, created with the just-released Composition kit by Sahlin Studio and Memory Pockets Monthly Collection.
I love this design because you can incorporate several papers (including yummy patterns). I also like that you can use the photo and journaling spots as is, or mix them up to include just one photo, or three, or put the journaling in a different spot - totally flexible. I hope you like it too :) You can download it on my facebook page.
Thanks for stopping by. Happy scrapping!

New Quick Pockets are here!
Hi all! I'm here today to show off two new sets of Quick Pockets I created using the Storyteller Collections by Just Jaimee. These pocket cards include frames, pattern papers, paint and other embellishments all in a simple .PNG file so you can just drop them in your pages and add photos, journaling or any other tidbits you like. It's a super fast and easy way to pocket scrap, while still having all the fun product on your pages!
First up is Quick Pockets 4 (Storyteller Reed Add on):
I used this set for my Week 23 project life spread, as well as other pieces from the Storyteller Reed collection:
Quick Pockets 5 (Storyteller Hadley Add on) was created with the latest Storyteller collection and is perfect for summer stories, but can work for other seasons as well.
And of course, if you snag these sets today you can get them for 50% off!! It's a steal for sure. Thanks for stopping by, and happy scrapping!

Storyteller Raine Add Ons: Quick Frames 2 and Quick Pockets 2
Hi there! I've teamed up with Jaimee again this month to create some fun products with this months' Storyteller Raine collection. I've come up with two different sets this week, first is this set of pocket frame cards perfect for pocket style pages, but they also look great on more traditional pages as well:
The other pack is a set of frame clusters:
I used the Quick Frames to put this layout together in just about 10 minutes. Can't beat that!
And for just a few more hours, you can grab them both for 50% off! Happy scrapping!

Quick Pockets + Frames
I'm excited to share my latest creation! Surprisingly, it isn't a scrapbook layout - it's a scrapbook product. I teamed up with Just Jaimee and used her Storyteller Bryce collection to create some fun frame clusters. These are available as pocket cards for pocket pages, or stand alone for more traditional layouts.
I used a few of these on my latest Project Life spread. I also used some of the other new releases created by a some of the other Just Jaimee team members. You can check out Stacked Pocket Cards v. 6 and Stacked Pocket Cards v.7 as well.

The best part is that using all these cards helped me put together my pages in record time. If you're looking for a quick and easy way to scrap, be sure to check these out!

A New Way to Share
Hi friends! If you're reading this, I first want to say THANK YOU for following my scrapbooking adventures here at Scrapping is Life. It really does mean a lot that you take an interest in this little hobby of mine!
I've been thinking a lot lately about why I have this blog/what I use it for, and contemplating what direction to take in the future. For the most part, I have used this blog to share my pages and projects. However, I recently started a Facebook page that will serve the same purpose with the added bonus of being a easier/quicker way for me to share while also reaching more people. If you're interested, you can find me at Lynnette Scraps. I'll not only share my work, but links to lots of great freebies and other scrapping content. There's a new template for you under the freebie tab, too! I'm super excited about it.
So what about this blog? I have decided to keep it, although I probably won't be posting here as often as I have in the past. I'm planning to post scrap-related content such as favorite fonts, larger projects I'm working on, hybrid projects (and maybe even some non-scrap related projects), and of course free templates from time to time. I hope you'll stay along for the ride, and consider following on Facebook as well.

I Survived the Month of Challenges...
I'm proud to say I did it - 31 pages in 32 days! And it's a good thing I had that extra day to create, I did my last three pages on February 1st. With just hours to go I went to post my final page in the gallery, but my Internet wasn't cooperating! Luckily it was just an issue with the connection from my computer, because I was able to move my layout to dropbox and post it to the gallery from my iPad. Phew!
I had a lot of fun this year, and I realized a couple of things.
1. I really enjoy challenges. Having something to focus on helps me pull a page together much more quickly - I think it's because some of the decision making is done for me, so I don't have to start completely from scratch.
2. The more I create, the more creative I feel. Towards the end I was having to scrap a few pages a day to catch up, but I noticed that the pages were coming together more quickly as I went, and I was enjoying the process a lot more. I definitely can't keep up this amount of scrapbooking all the time (my house and my sleep were definitely neglected this month), but it's nice to know that if I'm feeling in a creative rut the best way out is just to make SOMETHING. For me, anyway.
Today I'm sharing the pages that I haven't posted to my blog yet. You can see all my Month of Challenges layouts in my Lilypad gallery.
Day 11 - photoless layout
Day 16 - redo challenge. I chose to scraplift my own page from last year's MOC:
And here's the new edition:
Day 19: Freestyle Challenge
Day 22 - Paper to Digi challenge
Day 25 - Double Page Layout. For this challenge I decided to scrap my week 4 of project life, using the Quinn Storyteller collection by Just Jaimee.

Day 26 - questionnaire challenge
Day 27 - Sketch Challenge
Day 20 - point and shoot challenge
Day 30 - one word challenge
Day 29 - BIG title
Day 31 - Pocket Page Challenge
I also found that I ended up loving almost all of my layouts! There are a few that I just sort of threw together and called it good for the sake of finishing and moving on to the next page, but overall I'm thrilled to have so many memories recorded and ready to print and put in the album. I'm glad I did it, and I'm glad it's over!

Project Life 2014: Week 51 (and that's a wrap!)
I'm so excited to say my 2014 Project Life album is complete! It feels so great to have stuck it out all year and have it finished before January is over. Now to do a final printing and slip them in the album. I used a new collection from Digital Design Essentials, which was just the push I needed to get this final week scrapped.
