Teacher Thank You Gift

School's almost out, but before we dive fully into summer, I wanted to share a teacher appreciation gift I made for my son's first grade teacher. I was going for something simple, practical, but also cute... so I decided to use brand new pencils and make them into a bouquet of flowers. I found the small striped bucket at Target (love the one spot!) and filled it with dry beans to make the pencils stand up. I added a simple tag that reads "Thank you for helping me grow" and tied it with some bakers twine. Easy, practical, and cute!

Project Life 2014: Week 19

Today I'm sharing my week 19 spread. I chose to work with the new Little One collection from Digital Design Essentials:

I was a bit wary at first because of the theme, but once I started on it I was surprised at how versatile this collection is. And I'm really loving the bright yellow + blue color combo!

Project Life 2014: Week 18

Welcome to Week 18! Yep, still a week behind. But all is well. I'm still going pretty simple with my spreads, enjoying mixing black and white with color photos, and using the same template & font each week.  The last couple of weeks I've been using some journal card collage templates to get more photos onto my spread.  I really like the 4x6 ones from Designs by Lili, she has sets here, here, here and here.

Project Life 2014: Week 17

Between traveling, iNSD, and everyday life stuff, I'm a week behind. I really don't want to fall too far behind on this project, but I expected it to happen at some point and I'm ok with it. And only a week - really, that doesn't feel too overwhelming. For this spread I did get to work with a new iNSD release, I used the new Creative Life collection at Digital Design Essentials. It's still on sale - at a whopping 60% off! - but only for today.

Here's is my week 17 spread. In my haste to get it scrapped I now realize I forgot to include the dates of this week, but I think I'm too lazy to fix it. ;)

May BYOC + a FREE template

Hi everyone! Are you ready for iNSD?? I swear, the party starts earlier each year... kinda like how the Christmas stuff comes out as soon as Halloween is over, LOL. But in this case, I don't mind at all! I've got grand scrapping (and shopping) plans, plus another freebie coming for you on Saturday right here on the ol' blog. 

But first, I wanted to share my latest layout, as well as a free template based on that page. I've been thinking for a while now that it would be fun to make some templates to share here, so I'm finally doing it! I plan to continue this at random, just as a fun little way to give something back to this awesome community. My first template is based on this layout I created using the brand-spankin'-new May BYOC stuff - most of it from Just Jaimee, but I used a few other things as well.
