Who Me?

Wendy (aka WM[Squared]) often makes templates using original layouts from team members.  And this weekend, she released the first pack featuring little ol' me! These templates are all based on layouts I made using Wendy's products over the past six months or so.

It's really fun to see some of my layout designs in template form.  And it gets even better... they are on sale in the Farmer's Market for just $1!

It's iNSD!

The annual iNSD weekend is here! {interNational Scrapbook Day} I'm no expert on all the goings-on in digi land this weekend, but I did want to pop in here and share a couple fun things I found at Scrap Orchard. 

First is the torch relay.  If you're on facebook, simply head over to their fan page and click on the iNSD torch relay tab near the top of the page.  You'll find an exclusive freebie, and you'll also be led from designer page to designer page where each stop will have another fun piece to the kit.  Gotta love freebies!  You can find more info in their forum as well.

Also, the Farmer's Market is open at Scrap Orchard! This means a HUGE amount of product is on sale for just $1 each. Full kits, mini kits, alphas, you name it... every designer has a bunch of stuff in there and it's an amazing deal!  I've been filling my cart all morning.

April Layouts

Another FULL month of scrapbooking has come and gone.  Yes, friends, May is here!  I had a great time guesting at the Lilypad this month in addition to my regular teams.  I can't say enough good things about the products there, the amazing designers, and the friendly community.  Oh - and their monthly challenges are some of my favorites in digi land!

Neglect (& some layouts)

Oh my poor, sad, neglected little scrapbooking blog. The reason for the neglect is, ironically, a LOT of scrapbooking going on!

Some exciting stuff:

1. At the end of March I got to go to Digiscrap*apaplooza in Las Vegas! It was so much fun and much needed getaway from all the real life stuff. Learned a lot, met cool people, had a lot of fun, and did a *little* bit of scrapping. :) Maybe I'll get around to doing a post about it?

2. April - this month - I'm a guest on the creative team at The Lilypad. Totally awesome! A bit overwhelming though. I have never been on a store team before and it's way fun but lots of work and so hard to pick what to scrap with when everything is just amazingly gorgeous. I just adore The Lilypad so it's super exciting for me.

So yeah. Busy. Busy with scrapping and with real life too. But before I go, here are the layouts I created in March:

Project Life

I know, I said I probably wasn't going to do it.... well, that I wasn't going to commit at least. But six weeks in and I am loving doing my own version of Project Life.

For me, that just means that I scrapbook a two page spread once a week with photos and journaling about the week, with minimal embellishments. So far I've just been using supplies I already have.

Here's what my week six page looks like:

A few things that are making this project doable for me:
1. Simple templates. I love the simple blocked design and how quick it is to just drop photos in.
2. My phone. A lot of the pictures I use are are taken with my phone, which has a pretty decent camera. I use dropbox to transfer the photos from my phone to my laptop in order to use them in my layout.
3. Sunday. I set aside some time on Sunday afternoons (or evenings) for doing this so it's become just part of my routine.

What I love the most about this is that I'm capturing and recording so many little tidbits... things that wouldn't warrant an entire scrapbook page, but things I want included in our family's story. I love that I finally have an organized way to record and document big and little moments of our lives.
