Favorite Fonts

It's no secret that I love fonts! I love going through my list and picking out the perfect one for a layout or project. As I was recently downloading a few new ones, I was so excited and thought I needed to share them with the whole world... so here they are on my blog, just a few of my favorites. And of course they are all free and I've provided links so you can find them too. :)

Inspired

I've been on a roll with my scrapbooking lately. This usually means that I've been inspired... my creativity only comes if I have a place to start. For this layout, I was inspired by another one I saw in an online gallery. (You can see it here).

{background paper from LDD Collab "Hugs & Kisses" by Leora Sanford; stitches and clip by GG Digital Designs; orange flower from "Funky Love" by Megan Turnidge; white tag from "Tangerine Twist" by Flergs; sand alpha by Lisa Sisneros; pattern papers (top to bottom, L to R) by: Lisa Sisneros, Sarah Bennett, Ronna Farrer, KD Designs, Cyndi Price, Kelley Mickus, Michelle Coleman; "JB Cursive", "Pea Missy Cursive", and "Pea Jenny Roman" fonts}

And this one was inspired by this design tutorial on Ali Edwards blog:

{paper and photo corners by Crystal Wilkerson; scallop border from MSA collab kit "Birthday" by Traci Murphy; green scallop circle from LDD collab kit "Hullaballoo" by Lauren Reid; string from "Vintage Chic" by Jennifer Fox; "You are my..." wordart by CD Muckosky; red circle from MSA collab kit "Birthday" by Jaque Larsen; metal hearts from "Cosmo Chic" kit by Michelle Coleman; blue circle from "Kindergarten Crafts" by Miss Mint; yellow button from "Happy Helpers" by GG Digital Designs; green circle from "Hoo's Funky?" by Amy Summerall; orange button from "Just Breathe" and green smiley from "Lola" by Kelley Mickus; "Jailbird Jenna" font}

Pages by Lynnette

I'm so excited about these!

Pages by Lynnette, Set 1

Pages by Lynnette, Set 2

I made these quickpage/layered template sets and they are now available for download in the Digital Scrapbook Memories store!

I wanted to create some quickpages, because they are just like it says, QUICK! And I also wanted to create matching layered templates so that you get the design, but also the flexibility of being able to add your own papers and embellishments. If you have never used a layered template, you can find a good tutorial here - or feel free to ask me! They are pretty easy.

If you click on the titles above it will take you to the DSM store. Both are selling for $8.95 each, but if you enter the coupon code BIRTHDAY50 you'll get 50% off! The coupon code is good until June 22, so get 'em while they're cheap!

...and... while you're in the shop... check out the other downloads! Most of DSM's scrapbooking kits are available on CDs, but they have just started offering The Garden CD and Seasons & Holidays CD as downloads, and you can pick and choose all or just parts of the CDs. Very cool. The other download is the new "Aspire" kit, just released as part of the birthday celebration. This was the kit offered yesterday for free, but if you missed it you can still pick it up for 75% off by entering coupon code BIRTHDAY75 when you check out. It's so cute, I'm hoping to get a chance to scrap with it later today. (And of course I'll post here!)

Happy 5th Birthday DSM!

DSM Birthday Celebration!

Digital Scrapbook Memories is 5 years old! To celebrate there are challenges on the forum, awesome deals in the shop (seriously, CD's that retail for $24.99 are only $5 - different ones on sale each week) and a FREE kit will be available for download on January 15 from 4:30-6:30 pm ONLY! Mark your calendar... set an alarm... you won't wanna miss it!

I love DSM stuff. Not only is this company the reason I started digital scrapbooking, I just think they have some of the cutest, most versatile, and highest quality stuff around. Plus the forum is such a fun place to hang out online.

Also... stay tuned, starting next week (I think) I'll have something exciting to share, but you'll just have to wait and see ;)

xoxo,
